CA Early - An old stand-by. Reliable producer with a mild flavor.
Nootka Rose - A silverskin softneck, it is well suited for braiding. It does well throughout the US climate zones. It has an excellent shelf life and a strong flavor. A fine, smooth, all white wrapper covers between 12 and 20 cloves per bulb, which can grow to >2 inches in diameter. The cloves have a pretty rose and dark red coloration.
Lorz Italian A softneck artichoke that has an average maturity date. It was imported from Italy during the late 19th century to the Columbia River Basin area where it is widely grown. Does well with hot summers and picks up quite a bit of that heat, as it has a very robust flavor.
Silverwhite This artichoke softneck has adopted well to growing in both hot, dry and mild maritime climates. The white wrappers on the bulbs provide the name and the pink-colored cloves are relatively hot in flavor.

This is only for what I have received and planted; I have no idea what the germination rate will be, or how large a bulb may be once grown. However, so far the sampler was a great buy. It came with huge bulbs: Lorz Italian, Nootka Rose, Silverwhite, and California Early. They were excellent planting stock, and will likely have a great yield. That remains to be seen though!
