Mild Winter Softneck Favorites Sampler 4-Pack - one of each bulb *WILL SHIP IN SEPT 17*

CA Early - An old stand-by. Reliable producer with a mild flavor.
Blanco Piacenza - This softneck has its origins in Northern Italy. An artichoke variety that is easy to grow and has a nice shelf life. This garlic has similarities to Siciliano. Bulbs can be huge. Acclimated to warm, Southern Climates but will adjust to colder weather.
Lorz Italian A softneck artichoke that has an average maturity date. It was imported from Italy during the late 19th century to the Columbia River Basin area where it is widely grown. Does well with hot summers and picks up quite a bit of that heat, as it has a very robust flavor.
Silverwhite This artichoke softneck has adopted well to growing in both hot, dry and mild maritime climates. The white wrappers on the bulbs provide the name and the pink-colored cloves are relatively hot in flavor.

    The bulbs arrived in excellent shape and I'm looking forward to planting them as soon as we have a some colder weather.

    followed the planting instructions on 9/29/13. , added bone meal and some grass mulch. Will add more ground oak leave mulch when the leaves drop.
    Will send another review when garlic sprouts. The order which variety germinates.Keep a log. NJ is having a warm spell and very dry, but I have been watering , especially the dry lawn.
    I will be able review the starter pack as it grows.on what dates.
