Recipes. And if you're really
serious about elephant garlic, read "The
Rodney Dangerfield of Garlic"
from Mosty Garlic Magazine. The mildest of the garlics - actually,
it is closer to a leek than a garlic. Perfect for stews, roast vegetables
and garlic mashed potatoes. They grow well in most parts of the country.
Mulching with straw or grass clippings and keeping the soil relatively
moist, even during the winter, promotes larger bulbs. TheGarlicStore.com at 5313 Mail Creek Lane is a Certifed Organic Processor/Handler by the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

Plant 3 - 4 inches deep some 6 to 8 inches apart in fall, about 4-6 weeks
before the first hard freeze in order to establish roots. Can also be spring planted. Planted bulbs
generally yield 4-8 times their weight in harvest. We reserve the largest
bulbs for premium planting stock.

Elephant (Buffalo) Garlic Rounds,
8 oz, $5.95
These highly prized "rounds" are single cloved bulbs, often larger than golf
balls...they are amazing. They can pack a more intense flavor, as well. If you plant them (rather than use them in a stew or garlic mashers) they can grow to very large-bulbed plants for your next harvest. Certified organic.
